Our Story
Farmstead Candle Co., formerly FarmHer Candle Co., was established by Erin Bonneau at her home in Rosalie, Nebraska. Each scent is developed and carefully curated by Erin as she hand-pours each candle. It’s no wonder that Farmstead Candle Co. is quickly becoming one of the best candle brands in Nebraska.
Meet Erin
Owner and Operator of Farmstead Candle Co.
Hi, my name is Erin, and we are the Bonneau family. We live on a small farmstead in Rosalie Nebraska. I was born a farmer’s daughter and married a cattle farmer, so I understand the importance of supporting American agriculture. I am a dental hygienist, but most recently have turned my hobby of candle making into a full-fledged business.
I started my candle company on our farmstead and it’s a one-woman show. I mix my own fragrances, pour each candle by hand, apply labels, fulfill orders, and manage sales. Farmstead Candle Co. has really taken off and I am still learning so much about this business.
In the 1990s I was an awkward red-headed twin with a perm who loved 4-H. Thank goodness I had other things going for me. Growing up as a farmer’s daughter, I learned the value of hard work and I hope to pass that knowledge along to my daughters.
Living on a farm can mean sometimes the outside stink can be inside your home. The best part about my job is the wonderful smells that fill my home as I mix and pour wax. I have met so many new people and love hearing that my customers are enjoying Farmstead Candle Co. products.
My hope is that all of you will enjoy my products as much as my friends and family have.
